When it comes to finding your dream career it can be difficult to know where to start when you don’t know what you’re looking for. Whether you want job security, an exciting career, a position that allows you to travel or all of the above – knowing what jobs are suitable for you isn’t easy.
Whilst we wish we could focus on all of the above aspects, this blog post is going to look at 8 different careers you can follow if you want to be able to travel for work:
-
Travel Agent
Although it may seem as though you won’t have much opportunity to travel whilst sitting behind a desk putting together holiday packages for people, travel agents are often invited on ‘Familarisation Trips’ as part of their role. These trips are designed to allow travel agents to get to know a destination by staying in several different hotels, taking part in activities and eating at local restaurants. Whilst they may be few and far between, at least you’ll have your staff discount to keep you going.
-
Flight Attendant
While it may seem as though flight attendants are in a new country every day, it’s not quite as simple as that. Airline staff will work on a roster that a couple of times a month will allow them to spend a couple of days in a new country. In this time you’ll have a couple of hours to explore, but you’ll probably spend the rest of the time catching up on sleep. Whilst some love it, the fast-paced high altitude life isn’t for everybody.
-
Cruise Ship Worker
Whilst you may not be able to explore every destination you dock in, working as a cruise worker will give you some chance to travel on your days off. Depending on the route you take you may be working for as long as 3 months, so make sure the benefits are worth it in terms of travel.
Common cruise ship jobs include working in the kitchen, working as wait staff, becoming part of the crew or working in entertainment. If you can get used to being on a ship for long periods of time, it’s definitely a lucrative and rewarding career to get into.
-
Truck Driver
It may not seem the most glamorous of jobs, but being a trucker will allow you to travel more than you think. You’ll spend a lot of time travelling from one end of the country to another, but often you may find you’re travelling to a completely different country. For more information, you can visit the CRST Expedited website.
This role isn’t for the faint-hearted, so make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into before you consider it as a position.
-

(Extra) Why not have your own Blog?
Is it really easy beeing a blogger Today? It is not but, with the right guidance, tools and drive!!! It could become one of the best business, side hustle, money making machine for you and your family.
My story is fairly simple, i was looking for a avenue to share my ideas and knowledges to the world but was always hesitante to plunge onto the world of blogging. We see online, all those incredible success stories but i do know there is also the stories that are not talk about, the setbacks, deception, discourage.
I’m someone commited to my craft and that’s one of the reason i decided to create my blog, to share my voice to the world. There is a lot to do when starting a Blog, mine is up only since July 2018, i have a lot more to do and work on.
Before starting, the only thing i could say is: Don’t compare yourself to other bloggers, yes you could take advise, learn from their establish blogs but work on your own thing, you have a unique voice and should be proud of it.
I will explain below the simple tips to start a blog on the right foot, what to do and not to do… There is so much to consider but with a daily task in hand , it is a lot easier to follow the progress of your company : your Blog.
Let’s Begin.
I’m laying out a general overview on how to start your blog from scratch and at the same time, you will have the best blogging tips, i have under my umbrella.
Subject.
Start by looking for a subject that you are passionate about, you cannot stop talking about… Don’t forget once you have a blog in place, you need to have the motivation and drive to talk about the same subject over and over again. Imagine, working on your blog for the last year and you wake up one morning with no more drive for your blog because your motivation is dry, the subject need to be close to your heart.
Name.
Looking for a online name could be a little bit challenging when starting out because you could have the best idea in the world but keep in mind , your name should be relevant to the subject attach to your website. Having a online presence among others is quiet a task, so to have the chances on our side, why not have a name that is easily remembered and simple.
As a example: It took me a week to find the name for my website, since i wanted to talk about finances evendo my main work in life is computer engineering. Always been attracted by numbers, how to save money, how to make it work once invested, living a simple life so you have enough time for the family.
What is your drive, why do you have a blog in the first place? Share your knowledge, make money (we all want that i presume), it is liberating also to wright. It feel like a therapy, your feeding your blog with information so you have enough space to let new information flowing through your mind.
Logo.
Do you need to have a logo right away? My answer is a big no for now, you don’t have to put any energy in creating your logo, have more focus on the following steps. Yes , you could have a brainstorming session in order to know what your logo could look like. Visit your favorite search engine, google or Internet Explorer and visit some of your favorite blogs and see how they stuctured their websites, their logos.
Another important option is the themes: This is how your website will look like. We all have a feel on how we want our website to look among others.Again take a look around and see what you love. You could start with the generic theme from WordPress and once you are establish or have enough content ,you could switch to a theme of your choice.
Try to have a theme that is light, bright, articles a easily accessible, your menu is visible, disclaimer, terms, copyright link are actives and updated.
