Entertaining the kids becomes quite difficult when they enjoy their technology and we can’t keep up with what the new toy is for them to play with. When our finances are low, we may feel that it isn’t always easy to keep up with what kids want. Here are some of the fun activities you can do with your family and kids during this season that doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive.
Let’s say things are not great financially at the moment. Perhaps you had an accident and are off work. You may be in contact with a personal injury lawyer but you maybe need to start focusing on other things.
Having a conker collection competition
Spring is still conker season. Although most of you would think that Conker is something of the past, you will be surprised at how your kids will love having fun with nuts. In fact, your kids will discover the fun of breaking open a brown shell to find a shiny conker hidden inside it.
Make some art and models with newspaper
A newspaper model or artwork is a great solution to your kids during this time when most of us are retreating indoors. Gather old newspapers, get some glue and make some fun models and things they can keep in their bedroom or even give as gifts.
How about a museum trip?
If you are bored of all these indoor activities, why not consider a change? You don’t need to do anything fancy but some museums offer free days. It is always going to be free of charge for kids who are under a certain age. Take a pre-packed lunch while travelling on the bus, and you will easily be there in no time.
Think about writing stories
Your little kids probably have lots of stories to tell, so why not encourage them to start writing stories and getting involved which will help their education. Setting up some fun ideas with the kids to do storytelling and putting on little shows in the house is a fun way to bond with your kids and it’s free. In the future you will probably start realising how important it is to save your money because then you will be able to save for their future instead.
Decorate your house for Easter
Easter is coming and it comes with a load of free entertainment ideas and lots of free kids stuff. Starting early is always good in many ways. You can finish a major part of the decorations before the arrival of Easter. You may use some old coloured paper to cut simple paper chains with the kids. Why not design and cut intricate flowers, chicks and make fun things that don’t have to be expensive. You can buy it cheap from the craft store.
You can make things even more exciting with a chart made to track how many decorations you can make as a family unit. Set some goals in this regard and try to fulfil these goals before Easter arrives.
PS Hope this was informational ?!
