Simply, you’ll become more experience in this particular job. You won’t be getting paid or anything like that, but you’ll be given knowledge and know-how when it comes to this particular field. If you want a job in a certain sector, you might need experience. Annoyingly, it’s difficult to gain experience for a job that you need experience when you have none! This is where volunteering comes in handy.

Employers want the best and most committed people. That’s understandable. If you’re willing to take time out of your life to gain valuable working time in a particular job, then that shows how much you care about it, and it would improve your career prospects handsomely. An employer is more likely to pick the person with the right attitude ahead of someone who spends their free time doing something completely different and irrelevant.
It Toughens You Up Mentally
You’re literally working just to work. The knowledge and experience will feel great, but, as humans, we like to have rewards and tangible things to make us feel like we’ve achieved something. If you’re not getting that, it can sometimes put you down. Going through these kinds of things can strengthen your mentality. A mentally strong head is a super characteristic that goes beyond work-life into everyday life.
